News: Time to Talk Day: start the conversation about mental health

Today (5 February) is Time to Talk Day — the nation’s biggest mental health conversation.

Time to Talk Day is an important opportunity to break down the barriers around mental health in the workplace. Whether it’s a quick check-in or a more in-depth discussion, starting the conversation about how people are feeling and coping can make a real difference.

Making mental health a regular part of workplace conversations — just like physical health — helps create a supportive environment and prevents work-related stress.

HSE’s Working Minds campaign provides practical tools and guidance for employers, managers, and workers to recognise, reduce, and prevent work-related stress while supporting mental health at work.

Take action

  • Visit the Working Minds website for resources on supporting mental health and managing work-related stress.
