Developed in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive, the app aims to help homeowners to better understand what you need to know and do when having work done at home.
It guides you through how to engage a tradesperson, what to look for in terms of quality and protection and the questions you should be asking to ensure you get the job done well and to the right standards.
Before any work starts, homeowners should make sure that tradespeople have evaluated the risk of asbestos being present and/or disturbed by the job, as well as what they will do should they suspect or discover hidden asbestos.
